Muchmore came home 7th in the Vets category, 51st overall.

New team member Kurt Broad, riding in the Senior category came home in 240th place, after 12h 27min.

3rd Place 4-man Team at 12:12 Torq in Your Sleep

The 3rd Torq in Your Sleep 12 hour mountain bike endurance event held over the August bank holiday weekend was another cracking event, with top teams and solos fighting it out through the technical singletrack around Minley Manor in Hampshire.  Starting at midday on Sunday, riders tried to complete as many laps as possible, riding through the darkness until midnight.

The Revel Outdoors 4-man team of Jamie Wightman, Richard Bettaney, Iain Kemp and guest rider, Stephen James started off with some flying first laps, putting them in 2nd place behind the Torq performance professional team.  While the Torq team opened up a considerable lead throughout the day, a close battle developed between 2nd and 3rd place, the positions changing regularly into the evening.  With one lap left to go, the Revel Outdoors team was in 3rd place, and were just too far behind to catch up to 2nd before the end of the race.

For the Revel Outdoors team, 3rd place was a huge improvement on last year’s result, and the team was extremely pleased with their performance against such strong competition.
