Jason Bouttell has continued his winning streak in the Sport category, including:

  • British Mountain Bike Series, Round 2, Dalby Forest: 1st
  • Midlands XC Series, Round 2: 1st

 

Richard Bettaney has been competing in the Masters category of the Southern XC series:

  • Southern XC Series, Round 1: 15th
  • Southern XC Series, Round 2: 39th (Retired lap 3)

Results from Mud, Sweat and Gears Round 4

6 members of the Revel Outdoors Race Team took part in Round 4 of the Mud Sweat and Gears Eastern Series race, on a tough course at Codham Park.

New Newmarket shop mechanic, Dave Miller, put in a strong debut performance for the team, coming in 4th in the Senior Racer category – 22 seconds off a podium place.  James Dyke returned to racing with a 24th place finish, and Darren Styles ended up 34th.  Will Mitcham and Richard Bettaney both had problems resulting in pulling out after only 1 lap.

In the Women’s warrior category, Susan Boles had her first taste of the podium with a 2nd place finish.

Mud Sweat & Gears Round 2, Thetford

There was a great turnout for the Revel Outdoors Race Team at the second of the 2010 Mud Sweat & Gears Eastern series races in Thetford Forest, and some great results. The course was dry and fast with no place for rest.

Mens Warrior category (1 hour):

  • 3rd Daniel Collins, 4 laps, 1:04:49

Womens Warrior category (1 hour):

  • 4th Susan Boles, 3 laps, 1:05:42

Mens senior Racer category (2 hours):

  • 9th Richard Bettaney, 7 laps, 1:44:13
  • 14th Jamie Wightman, 7 laps, 1:46:53
  • 26th James Dyke, 7 laps, 1:52:01
  • 36th Iain Kemp, 7 laps, 1:55:32
  • 46th Rob Balaam, 6laps, 1:42:41
  • 48th Darren Styles, 6laps, 1:43:31

Mens veteran Racer category (2 hours):

  • 13th Garry Houghton, 7 laps, 1:51:08

New team member Kurt Broad won the “Broken Seatpost” category in 1 lap, 16:22.
